Healthcare Debate: Competition or Fairness?

What's the issue at stake here?

Some people say, public option prevents fair competition.

Of course Govt. don't have to bear cost of capital that private businesses pay and don't have to worry about making profit, local taxes and so on.

But it's only a small part of the big debate.

What really is at stake?

And why are we debating?

Is the healthcare debate about private vs. public, really?

It's about the failure of the health care system of America that's made America look stupid for many years.

It's about people who choose not to be insured

It's about people who choose to be under insured.

It's about people who are put into enormous stress by the insurance companies who try constantly to under-cover the insured in order to improve their bottom line while people are going through agonies, life threatening illnesses and most of all when they are in desperate need of care and help.

Is this fair under the name of fair competition?

People must admit that there are things more important than money.

Money is not the only factor that determines everything.

Unfortunately some people regard on one thing that's not so important and disregard on other things that are more important.

They are talking about a fair competition, private vs. govt, MONEYWISE.

But what about the private vs. consumers.

The way private insurance companies pile up profits by pushing and shoving costly sick people out of their policies with excuses of pre-existing condition and charging unbearable fees should be considered fair?

Fair for who?

What do they need to compete for?
For their own profit or the care they supposed to provide?

If this is a conflict of interest, why they should be in business?

If these two, profit or care are in conflict, what do they have to choose to be fair?

Profit or care?

What have they been choosing time and time again for so many years?

Am I being biased here?
For this matter? I don't think so.

Unfortunately we are the proofs and facts that wrongs have been committed against us, the insured general public and it's not even a question anymore.

Now it's time to fix it not delay or kill it with excuses like the fair competition, private vs. govt.

What about other issues brought up by Palin and the likes?

Nah, they are just playing cute, that's all.

Although I am usually biased, mistaken, dumb and all, I still have a brain big enough to disregard them.
