Where have all the proud Americans gone?

Recently, we witness this phenomena.
It's increasingly hard to find once granted proud American status.
After decades of living blinded by their own governments and Corporations, people started to actually view themselves objectively.
And the reality they are finding is absolutely painful.

Wall Street has been rewarded for better and more sophisticated thieves.
Healthcare has become major killer for most American by burdening them with ultimate stress.
Infrastructures for public use everywhere are pitifully outdated while handful of individuals who get rich off the misfortunes of ordinary people have every imaginable luxuries they could possibly have.
Two wars?

And still Washington thinks things are too complicated to solve and only alternative is a compromise between haves and have nots while it lives daily under the influence of the haves.
They know too little to solve any problem and thus things get complicated always.
Major bills usually go over thousand pages.
And it can only mean people must not know what the hell is being written it the bills.
When Canadian healthcare reform bill was made, the whole bill was 14 pages long.
But actually it was 7 pages long since bill was written by two languages, English and French.
Compare that to our healthcare reform bill.
How can we ever compete with other nations with all these attached strings pulling from all directions.

We are doomed unless we do something about this.
In the meanwhile, proud Americans will be even more scarce to find.
