They are ready to shove it down to our throats saying, "Shut the f..k up, now."
It has been a painfull scene to watch.
What is democracy?
Is it for us or for them?
Past election was one fairy tale that made people hopeful that D.C. can be changed
with this guy.
But as time goes by, he looks even more D.C. kinda guy than most others.
Does he really think he can root out centuries old corruption by being a decent bipartisan guy?
Congress and Senate has nothing to do with the people but has everything to do with money sources that can elect them next time.
Wasn't he talking about cleaning both houses and changing the way they do business?
Look at him.
Look at congress.
Look at senate.
After all the talks from their mouths, what's changed?
Can they ever do a thing for the people?
Although healthcare system here is broken, it's only a byproduct of broken financial system under crony capitalism.
While debating healthcare for months, financial reform sneaked away from sights.
There were people desperately trying to speak for us like E. Warren, Stiglitz and even Volker.
But they were not covered enough to educate people and not treated by Obama as important voices as well.
This financial system basically ruined not just America but the whole world.
Solution must not only be made for American but for the whole world too.
Open market and free flow of capital which have been the virtue of last couple of decades have in fact ruined the whole world by breaking balance and increasing instability.
Terms we got used to over the period of financial crisis such as hedge fund, CDS or OTC derivitives...these were unregulated, back room deals that ghost around the world using manipulative power and inside information sucking up the blood of countries, dumping whole bunch of screw-ups such as broken wealth distribution, raised poverty level and on and on and on.
Globalization globalized America's own problems to the rest of the world with so called innovative financial instruments that by no means nothing other than gambling with other people's money.
And after all these mess, financial melt down and repeated promises of reform from politicians like Obama, nothing has been done to get to the root of the problem.
Instead, we recently hear consumer protection agency of some sort will be inacted if passed by congress.
What a joke!
Are they talking about the root or the tip of the branches?
The sky is there even if you cover it with your own hand.
Crimes will be committed whether there is consumer protection agency or not.
Yeah, it is better than nothing but what about this rapidly growing cancer?
I mean, America's bloody nose can be blocked with cotton ball but what about the growing cancer in its liver.
"Oops!" I mean "Aha!!"
Now I get it.
So you will treat the symptom and hope it won't happen again until you get out of the office.
President Obama, don't tell us things are getting better.
You have not done nothing to correct this broken system other than pour our money into the same old broken system.
Your FED and Treasury have deceived and failed us.
We have been patiently waiting for you to come around for Audacity of Hope of Ours.
You'd better talk straight to us instead of bending and curving and hiding.
Like you said, it is precisely the time that we cannot just do business as usual.
Do not go down in history as a failed one, be a great one with your reform, a fundemantal and structural reform .
I'm still hopeful just like most other Americans.
And my prayer goes to you in this hard time of ours.
